The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out mandatory guarantees that apply to the services (i.e. treatment) that you and your staff provide to patients. You and your staff are deemed to have guaranteed to your patients that whenever you provide them with services, those services will meet certain minimum requirements. 

In this section we outline:

• the service guarantees that you and your staff are deemed to have made to patients; and
  
• your patients’ right of redress if you or your staff breach a service guarantee.
