The past few months have been an uncertain times for New Zealanders, as community cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Auckland, and short lockdowns have been reintroduced. Fortunately, there is light at the end of the tunnel as the Covid vaccination programme has begun. Many employers are beginning to think about what the vaccinations might mean from an employment perspective.

We hope that you have managed to catch your breath over the holiday period and taken time to congratulate yourselves and your team for a job well done during a difficult 2020. The news over the past week of possible community transmission cases in Northland, however, has reminded us that we all need to be prepared – as individuals and as businesses - to continue to be vigilant against COVID-19.

2020 will be a year that will be hard to forget.
